They Gave Their House—Now Help Us Open Its Doors

The house is waiting. With your support, its doors can open to 20 children before December 2026.
A House Given for a Greater Purpose

For the founders of RefugeRoot, the Safe Shelter project is not simply an idea written on paper. It is a deeply personal commitment.

They have given their own house in Akassato so it can become a place where vulnerable children are protected, cared for and given the stability every child deserves.

It is a sacrifice rooted in a simple conviction: a house finds its greatest meaning when it becomes a home for those who need one most.

The Preparatory Work Is Complete

The required administrative procedures have been completed. The house is available, the vision is clear and RefugeRoot is preparing to welcome 20 children before December 2026.

But the doors cannot open on commitment alone.

Funding is still needed to prepare and operate the shelter responsibly—providing appropriate beds and furnishings, food, hygiene supplies, educational support, trained caregivers and a safe daily environment.

The house has been given. The paperwork has been completed. Now we need a community willing to help turn these rooms into a home.

Twenty Children Are Waiting for an Opportunity

Behind the number 20 are individual children—each with a name, a story, fears, abilities and dreams.

They do not simply need a roof. They need dependable adults, nourishing meals, access to education and a place where they can sleep without fear of what tomorrow may bring.

The Safe Shelter pilot project is an opportunity to offer that foundation.

Help Us Open the Doors Before December 2026

The founders have taken the first extraordinary step by giving their house. RefugeRoot is now inviting donors, churches, businesses, foundations and compassionate individuals to take the next step with us.

Together, we can transform an available building into a safe and loving home for 20 children.

Your support can help prepare the home, equip its rooms and provide the responsible care needed to welcome 20 children.
