Become a Volunteer

Together we can
Use your skills to help hope take root

Become a Volunteer

RefugeRoot is growing through the generosity of people who believe that every child and family deserves safety, dignity and the opportunity to build a better future.

Whether you volunteer remotely or serve alongside one of our local teams, your time, experience and commitment can help us strengthen programs for vulnerable children, widows and families in Canada and West Africa.

Some volunteers teach music. Others help us manage projects, develop partnerships, raise funds, create content, improve our website or strengthen our internal systems. Every contribution matters when it is offered with humility, consistency and respect for the communities we serve.

You do not need to have all the answers. You simply need a skill you are willing to share, a heart ready to listen and a genuine desire to make a difference.

Together

We can do more

Volunteers are not simply extra hands at RefugeRoot. They are an important part of our mission.

How it works

Join our volunteer community in a few simple steps

Meet our team

A RefugeRoot team member may contact you for a short conversation. This is an opportunity for us to learn more about you and for you to ask questions about our mission and programs.

03

Find the right role

When there is a suitable opportunity, we will work with you to define a clear role based on your skills, interests, availability and our current priorities.
