Satya Wallin’s leadership is shaped by both her personal story and her lifelong service to children. Adopted from India and raised in Sweden from the age of five, she grew up with a deep awareness of how early care, stability, and belonging can change the entire trajectory of a child’s life.

For nearly 20 years, Satya has worked in Sweden as a preschool and kindergarten teacher, walking closely with children through their most formative years. This daily experience—supporting learning, emotional well-being, safety, and healthy development—strongly influences RefugeRoot’s priorities, especially the focus on protecting and nurturing vulnerable children aged 0–5.
