On December 25, RefugeRoot plans to begin renovations at the Safe Shelter pilot site in Akassato.

A family has generously made this house available for the project. The renovation will be an essential step toward creating a safe, functional and welcoming home that can eventually receive up to 20 vulnerable children.

The work will focus on adapting the building to child-protection, accessibility and caregiving requirements. On Christmas Day, we hope to take this practical first step toward transforming the house into a place of safety, care and hope.
