
Thomas Baboni serves as IT Specialist for the RefugeRoot Foundation of Canada’s team in Benin, with a focus on supporting the implementation of activities in Northern Benin. Based in Parakou, he brings more than 20 years of experience in IT support, network administration, systems maintenance, and internet connectivity solutions for small businesses, NGOs, and community-based organizations.
As Manager of SCHEKINA E-SERVICES and an experienced Network and Systems Technician, Thomas has developed strong expertise in LAN and Wi-Fi network deployment, Mikrotik router configuration, Windows and Ubuntu systems administration, and the installation of connectivity solutions such as VSAT, ADSL, fibre optic, Wi-Fi, and Starlink. He has also supervised technical teams, coordinated subcontractors, and managed IT contracts for NGOs and SMEs.
Within RefugeRoot, Thomas will help strengthen the organization’s technical capacity on the ground, support digital and connectivity needs, and contribute to the effective implementation of programs in Northern Benin. His practical field experience, technical discipline, and commitment to community service make him a valuable member of the RefugeRoot Benin team.
