This summer 2026 !
RefugeRoot exists for one reason: to turn compassion into lasting change. We serve vulnerable children and families by building projects that restore dignity, strengthen resilience, and create real opportunity—one community at a time.
As we move forward, our focus remains clear: protect children, empower caregivers, and expand access to education. Here are three initiatives shaping our next steps.

Keys of Hope – Music education that builds confidence
In Lomé (Togo), RefugeRoot is expanding Keys of Hope to offer free music education—music theory and instruments—to children who need a safe environment to learn and grow. Beyond skills, music becomes a tool for discipline, self-expression, and hope.
Mothers of Courage – Empowering widows with a small-business start
In Kpomassè (Benin), RefugeRoot is launching Mothers of Courage, targeting 100 widows who will receive entrepreneurship training and a $100 start-up capital to begin a small business. The goal is simple: stable income so mothers can care for children—often orphans—with dignity.
Every gift helps plant roots—and grow futures.
Safe Shelter – Protection with a long-term vision

Safe Shelter is RefugeRoot’s commitment to child protection: creating environments where vulnerable children are safe, supported, and guided toward a healthier future. We believe a shelter is more than a building—it is a message: you matter, and you are not alone.
How you can help right now
