SUMMARY:Mothers of Courage: Selection Committee Meeting
DESCRIPTION:On August 31\, RefugeRoot will meet with representatives of the Commune of Kpomassè to select the first 20 widows who will participate in the Mothers of Courage project. \nThis important meeting follows our conversations with 98 widows from Sègbohouè and Agonkanmè. The committee will carefully review the candidates’ circumstances\, family responsibilities\, current activities and aspirations. \nThe women selected will move to the next stage of the project\, which aims to provide practical training and support to help them strengthen their livelihoods and care for their children with greater stability and dignity.

DESCRIPTION:On September 19\, RefugeRoot will officially launch the Keys of Hope music program at Orphelinat Marie-Reine de la Paix in Lomé. \nThrough instrumental lessons\, music theory and group learning\, children will have opportunities to discover their abilities\, build confidence and experience the joy of creating music together. \nThis launch marks the beginning of a new collaboration and another step toward making meaningful music education accessible to vulnerable children in Togo.

SUMMARY:Launch of Renovations at the Safe Shelter Pilot Site
DESCRIPTION:On December 25\, RefugeRoot plans to begin renovations at the Safe Shelter pilot site in Akassato. \nA family has generously made this house available for the project. The renovation will be an essential step toward creating a safe\, functional and welcoming home that can eventually receive up to 20 vulnerable children. \nThe work will focus on adapting the building to child-protection\, accessibility and caregiving requirements. On Christmas Day\, we hope to take this practical first step toward transforming the house into a place of safety\, care and hope.

SUMMARY:Keys of Hope Christmas Concert
DESCRIPTION:The holiday concert originally planned for July could not take place because the children were unavailable. It will now be replaced by a special Christmas concert at Maison Béthanie NGO. \nThis joyful celebration will mark the final day of the Keys of Hope pilot phase. The children will have an opportunity to perform what they have learned\, celebrate their progress and share the confidence they have developed through months of music lessons. \nAlthough the pilot is ending\, this concert is not a goodbye. RefugeRoot and Maison Béthanie NGO intend to continue Keys of Hope through a new long-term partnership agreement\, giving more children the opportunity to learn\, create and grow through music. \nThe Christmas concert will bring together the children\, music teachers\, caregivers\, partners and supporters to celebrate how far the young musicians have come—and the hopeful journey still ahead. \nThe pilot may be ending\, but the music—and the hope it carries—will continue. \n CELEBRATE WITH US
